Ancient Forest Sangha of Humboldt Bay

Welcome Friends!

As the third jewel of Buddhism, a Sangha offers a deep well of support and wisdom. Everyone is warmly welcomed to practice with us.
“Without a sangha you lose your practice very soon.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

GATHERINGS: We meet from 7pm to 8:15pm, usually on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month at the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, (wheelchair accessible). Once a month, generally on the first Thursdays, we enjoy the teachings of our Dharma Teacher Alexa Singer-Telles from the comfort of our homes, via Zoom. Potlucks are often held on the occasional 5th Thursday. Please check for any changes in the schedule by viewing our Calendar and Events page.

We suggest that you review the gathering format before joining us, so you’ll have an idea of what we do. If you are new to meditation, our Readings and Links page has many resources, including a link to a guided meditation by Thich Nhat Hanh that will get you started.

DANA (generosity):  In keeping with the Buddhist spirit of offering the teachings freely, all are welcome to the sangha, regardless of ability to give time or money. Our presence and practice together are the most important things; between all of us, the needs of the sangha will be met. We do gratefully accept donations to help with sangha expenses. If you wish to support our sangha, dana checks may be made out and sent to:
